Will You Join Us at First Things?
In the midst of our busy lives, where the noise of the world often overshadows the whisper of the Spirit, as we walk with Jesus, it can be hard to find time or space for Worship and gathering for evangelicals within the Church of Ireland. We're thrilled to announce the forthcoming "First Things" conference, a deliberate gathering dedicated to re-centring the Gospel in our lives, ministry, and worship.
This year, we're convening at the Moira Parish Centre on Saturday, 27th April, to embark on a journey of reflection, learning, and fellowship. "First Things" is not merely an event; it's a movement towards embracing the evangelical heritage of our Church, understanding its relevance in today's society, and envisioning its future.
Engage with Biblical Leaders
We are honoured to host a distinguished lineup of speakers, including the Most Revd Justin Badi Arama, the Archbishop of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, and Canon John McGinley, the visionary behind the Myriad initiative. They are gifted Biblical teachers and experienced Church leaders who have strong links to the Church of Ireland. We can’t wait to have them with us!
Explore Our Programme
The day is meticulously planned to cater to the current context in which we find ourselves. Starting with an invigorating morning of worship and Bible teaching, we will delve into sessions that explore the critical role of evangelicals in the Anglican Church, the biblical underpinnings of our faith, and what our future should look like in the Gospel. It's a unique opportunity to engage with the scriptures, share in fellowship, and gain fresh perspectives on our collective mission.
Join the Movement
"First Things" is more than a conference; it's a declaration of our commitment to the Gospel and its transformative power in the world. Whether you're a clergy member, a church leader, or a layperson eager to deepen your faith and impact your community, this event is for you. Many of us have been isolated and separated as we have served faithfully in Churches across the Island of Ireland. First Things is about reminding us that we are not alone in the work that God has called us to do and the Gospel we seek to contend for.
